Our back to school is literally about going back into schools. Of any type and grade.
Teachers and parents can play a big role in filtering many of the stereotypes still present in books, movies, etc.
But, it is important to be aware of those stereotypes and about the consequences they can produce.
We have programs to raise awareness, amongst teachers and/or parents. And even students.
Through concrete examples, we bring evidence of the stereotypes and biases that books, advertising, marketing, cartoons, movies, toys, etc still transfer about gender.
But also, ethnicity, ability, orientation. Just to name a few.
As a consequence, we will be able to uncover worse and best practices.
